Exposure draft of the Disability Inclusion Bill has now been released for public consultation
This landmark legislation intends to achieve transformative equality for people with disability. We are seeking to engage as many people as possible during consultation on the exposure draft. The lived experiences of people with disability will be crucial in shaping this legislation.
The Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing is hosting public information sessions with an opportunity for people to ask questions or provide feedback about the exposure draft. Sessions will be facilitated by Graeme Innes AM, Chair of the Disability Act Review Advisory Group, Australia’s former Disability Discrimination Commissioner.
